Frequently Asked Questions

 

Can I schedule a regular day each week?
Absolutely! We encourage you to schedule regular pickups. Just call or e-mail us, and we’ll be happy to schedule a day (or multiple days per week) that works best for you.

What is your pickup area?
Right now we cover most of Lilburn, Lawrenceville, Snellville, Centerville, Decatur, Norcross, Tucker and Stone Mountain. However, we are adding new routes every week, so please call us to see if we are in your area or to let us know you are interested so we know where to go next. 

Will you mix my clothes with other customers?
No! Absolutely not. We will never wash or dry your clothes with anyone else’s. We keep each customer’s clothes completely separate (and labeled) throughout the entire sorting, washing, drying, folding/hanging, delivering process.

Do you match socks?
Yes! We match socks! In fact, we have been surprised to find out how delighted and surprised customers are that we do match socks. We want to make your life easier. We also do our best to fold / hang your clothing by type / size so putting it away at home is much easier. Enjoy!

How do I pay for the service?
We prefer Electronic Checks, but we also accept Visa, MasterCard, personal checks, and cash.  We are happy to set up automatic billing for you.  Please note that you must be home at time of delivery if you choose to pay by cash or personal check.

 

Do I have to use your service regularly?
No. Feel free to contact us as often or as seldom as you would like. You may schedule pickups one at a time, whenever you need them. We have no contracts, obligations, or hidden fees.

Do you wash clothing with special care instructions?
We do our best to watch for delicates and special care instructions as we are sorting the clothes into lights, darks, etc. However, since we are not charging dry cleaning prices, we cannot take the time to individually examine every label on every article of clothing. That being said, if we know ahead of time that there are certain items that need special attention, we are happy to wash /dry / lay flat (etc.) per those instructions. Please be sure to let us know about the special care items when you arrange for pickup. We do not charge extra for this.

What if I have a certain way I want my clothes washed?
Wonderful! We hope you do. We are happy to wash your laundry per your specifications. We appreciate it when customers tell us exactly how they want their clothing (hung, folded, etc). Some customers even provide their favorite detergents for us to use on their clothing. We will do everything we can to make our customers happy.

How do you handle stains?

We do our best to treat any stains we see as we are sorting the clothes into lights, darks, etc. We have special stain removers that work very well. However, since we are not charging dry cleaning prices, we cannot take the time to individually examine every part of every article of clothing. That being said, if we know ahead of time that there are stains on certain items, we are happy to use our heavy duty stain cleaners on the stains before we wash the items. We cannot guarantee that the stains will come out since there are many factors involved, but we will try our best. Please be sure to let us know about any stains you are concerned about when you arrange for pickup. We do not charge extra for this.
 

Can I pay in advance for a month at a time?
Yes. We are always happy to take your money.

Do I tip the driver?
No. Our drivers are well paid and do not expect tips. The only tip we ask for is your referral.

Do I have to be home for pickup/delivery?
No. We can prearrange a pickup and drop-off spot at your home or office. Unless it is raining we will drop off your clothes at this spot and e-mail you when they are delivered. (We make separate plans for rain.)

Do you do dry cleaning?
We do not do dry cleaning at this time. However, we do have connections in the dry cleaning industry and will consider doing dry cleaning if there is sufficient interest.

Can you really do it all for $15?
Yes. Free pickup and delivery as well as careful laundering of your clothes is only $15 per bag. We can do this because of the large volume of clothes we wash. We are a lot more efficient than what you can do at home with only one set of machines. We do everything we can to keep our expenses low so we can keep our prices low. Our core philosophy is to have this be an affordable service for everybody and not just a luxury for the rich.

Will you hang my clothes for me?
Yes! Please be as specific as you want about your clothes. We want to make you happy. If you want adult shirts and pants hung up, kids clothes folded, etc., please just let us know. We will note it on your account. 

How do I get bags for my initial pickup?
Call or e-mail us, and we will bring you by as many bags as you would like. We will then come back later for the full bags or help you stuff them and bring them back with us right then.

What if I have lots of clothes?
Welcome to the club! You would be surprised how many bags of clothes we get from individual customers the first time they use our service (before we get them on a regular weekly schedule). We prefer to wash your clothes at least once per week rather than have them pile up, but if you need to be rescued from under a month or two worth of laundry, we can handle it. We have plenty of equipment and staff. Again, we want you to be happy.

Can I give this as a gift?
Yes! The Laundry Fairy service makes an excellent gift for baby showers, birthdays, Mothers’ / Fathers’ Day, anniversaries, and anytime you want to show appreciation for how hard someone works and give them a break. Perhaps your friend or family member is extra busy at work, just had knee surgery, is feeling overwhelmed…these are all great reasons to give Laundry Fairy as a gift. We are happy to help. Please discuss the gift / payment arrangements with one of our sales reps. 

Will you help me stuff the laundry bags?
Of course. If for some reason you can’t fill your own bags, we will gladly do it for you.
